What's involved?

We’re thrilled to have you join this exclusive program designed to deepen your understanding of the power sector, connect you with industry leaders, and equip you to tackle key challenges. Your journey includes two impactful learning experiences:

  • 1. AEMO NEM Basics: This self-directed course is your introduction to the National Electricity Market. Core materials take just 1.5 hours to complete, with additional resources for engineers who want to dive deeper. We suggest completing this module by mid-February 2025 to prepare for the Executive Insights series.

  • 2. Executive Insights Series: Running from February to June 2025, this live online program offers: 10 sessions with CEOs and executives sharing insights on sector challenges and opportunities. Also a half-day presentation session featuring actionable recommendations by 40-50 mid-career professionals attending the API Summer School. Opportunities to connect online with Summer School participants to discuss their recommendations and the Board Reports they create in response to the executives' issues.

  • Career Development Plan: As part of this program, you’ll create a personalised Career Development Plan, which will be uploaded to your EA online portfolio upon completion. This is your chance to map out personal development actions and chart your contributions to solving the sector’s pressing challenges.

The Exec Insight program will start on 26 February 2025

An exclusive welcome and onboarding sessions for EA API Graduate Program participants on 12 February 2025

Over 100 participants, including early-career engineers like you, will join this series from 26th February 2025.
